Did you ever have a book you really wanted to start and then you go busy with homework? Or maybe finals rolled around and the world came crashing on your shoulders and the book fell out the window. Or maybe you slid it under your to do list and said that you would get to it later. That kind of happened to me but I like to say that it's all part of God's plan.
I was given this book to read called "Crazy Love" if you've never read it STOP reading this blog and go get it right now. It's way better than this silly blog. As I was on a desert day on Saturday I got really involved in this book and the Lord is so amazing! A particular line stuck out while I was reading and I was like dude I've got to write a blog about it. So here it goes!
"Having faith often means doing what others see as crazy. Something is wrong when our lives make sense to unbelievers" BAM TRUTH.
As I was reflecting on this I started thinking about my own life. I hope that my life is crazy and other people don't understand it, because I don't understand it most of the time. Some of the "crazy" not normal for a 20 something to be doing is defiantly giving 6 weeks of my summer to the Lord, just because he called me. Or waking up earlier than I should to go to daily mass, fasting, wearing modest clothes, and praising God at all times of the day and night.Saying I need to pray about that before making a decision. Discerning something for months or weeks, and doing a novena about it just to make sure. These types of behavior aren't usually the "norm" but I'm ok with it. I wish that more people would join in the continual conversion of heart, and call to missions we all have.
Imagine what our world would be like if we saw the face of Christ in all people we met. Imagine if we made the social norm loving people just because. Imagine if we weren't afraid to shout out the we love the Lord. Imagine if we put our complete and total trust in the Lord. Imagine if we wore our faith on our forehead instead of tucked away in the deepest parts of our heart.
Read the book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan if you want to be challenged to wake up and be a Catholic 24/7 365.
